UT Food Lab Grows an Organic Conversation

Breathable chocolate, cheese with biodegradable packaging, and frozen yogurt pods that don’t melt: these futuristic food ideas sound like the stuff of fantasy. Rose Cahalan

I'm a senior editor at the Texas Exes (UT-Austin's alumni association), where I write and edit for the Alcalde magazine in print and online. I also do other communications projects, like video scripts, speeches, and marketing collateral. We're always looking for new writers at the Alcalde, so drop me a line!

I do a little freelance writing and editing on the side. Recent clients include the Texas House of Representatives, Rice University, the LBJ School of Public Affairs, UT Law, and Berkeley2 Academy.

Before coming to the Texas Exes, I wrote for Houston's culinary magazine, My Table; volunteered with Americorps; and studied English at Rice University.

When I'm not working, you can find me baking too many cupcakes, digging in the garden, or running the trail at Town Lake.
